Writing the Young Adult Novel

This class will explore the special issues surrounding writing novels
for young people. We’ll explore voice, theme, pacing, structure, and
characterization in a friendly, casual environment. Class time will be
spent discussing each other’s work, doing writing exercises, and
discussing examples of young adult novels. By the end of this class,
each student will have a polished first chapter.
