scott-photo-bw_100.jpg

Speaker: Scott Flora-President of SPAN: Small Publishers Association of North America

Date: Saturday, September 6
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Location: Windsor Rec. Center
250 N. 11th Street, Windsor, CO
Cost:$55 for NCW members, $65 for non-members

Publishing is a business and this workshop helps writers understand the ins and outs of self-publishing. The workshop will start by looking at different publishing models including print-on-demand publishing (POD), digital printing, and offset printing.

We will also complete a simple marketing plan that will set goals and develop tasks for all parts of a small publishing business. Writers not planning on self-publishing will find value in creating a marketing plan for their writing business.

The Workshop will finish with a panel of publishing professional who have extensive experience in producing and selling books. Kenn Amdahl, Clearwater Publishing Company, Debi Flora, About Books, Inc, and LeAnn Thieman, Priority Publishing will talk about their publishing experiences and answer questions.
